About the Instructor

My name is Malak Harb (she/her) and I will be your instructor for the class Introduction to Human Rights (HR 200) in Fall 2025. I am currently a PhD Candidate in International Relations at the City University of New York, Graduate Center. I hold an MA in Human Rights and an LL.M. in European and International Law with a focus on human rights mechanisms. As for my professional background, I have worked in the humanitarian sector for over four years, covering multiple regions and countries. My areas of expertise include, but not limited to: international refugee regime, international and European human rights regimes, international humanitarian law, European law, international relations, comparative politics, and others.
